At the same time, they continuously work to find new methods and technologies to improve resource utilisation, implement future-proof solutions, and optimise processes. Their mission is to create security and sustainability – also for future generations.

For example in Norbis Park business area, where Aalborg Forsyning are currently building and testing new technologies to create the utility services of the future.
Aalborg Municipality aims to reduce CO2 emissions by 70% by 2030. Building on the municipality’s climate plan, Aalborg Forsyning is transitioning its district heating, phasing out the use of coal at Nordjyllandsværket and introducing alternative energy production. This includes increasing the use of surplus heat, introducing a heat storage system, establishing a large seawater heat pump, and utilising greater electric boiler capacity.
At the same time, the company is actively working to address climate change within water and wastewater areas, as well as to use and protect water and marine resources in the most optimal way. All of this is aimed at ensuring the utility services of the future.
