You may know it as part of Drivhuset, but this time we have combined the well-known international stand-up concept with our new international comedy festival!
This means you can experience several of Comedy Stop’s international comedians all in one evening!
Abby Wambaugh
The host for the evening is American comedian Abby Wambaugh, who has also previously hosted at The Comedy Store in Drivhuset. Abby Wambaugh was a finalist for Funny Women and is the co-host of the podcast Help Hole with Sofie Hagen.
Sofie Hagen
The evening’s lineup also includes the London-based Danish comedian, author, and podcast host Sofie Hagen. In 2015, she won the Best Newcomer Award at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival for her debut show Bubblewrap. She followed up with the critically acclaimed and sold-out shows Shimmer Shatter in 2016, Dead Baby Frog in 2017, The Bumswing in 2019, and Fat Jokes in 2022.
Tom Ballard
Last but not least, you can look forward to experiencing one of Australia’s hottest comedians, Tom Ballard! He has performed all over the world and even survived a roast battle with none other than Jimmy Carr. That’s no small feat!
If there’s one (or more) of the comedians at The Comedy Store Gala you simply MUST see more of, you’re in luck—you can catch their solo shows the following day.

Part of Comedy Stop
Comedy Stop is an international comedy festival that usually takes place only in Copenhagen. This year, for the first time, it is also coming to Aalborg from September 5th to 8th, where you can experience top-quality international stand-up. The festival consists of individual solo shows by each comedian, and tickets for each show are sold separately, giving you the opportunity to handpick which shows you want to experience over the days. Read more about the festival and check out the program here.
